How'd it get to be summer?
Calle Ocho/Viernes Culturales
Humane Society of Greater Miami puppies came to campus to help relieve exam stress. 3 got adopted.
Win/win situation: Student-owned Wayfarer World got a big crowd to hawk its $10 customizable sunglasses to and Humane Society got 20% of the proceeds. Groovy.

Let's Do Something Shady
I'm in need of some new cheap sunglasses since my $10 orange and green wayfarers were sacrificed to the metro gods on the way to Ultra. These from fredflare.com may be able to fill that void in my life.

Picture from The True Silver and Fashion
This elephant ring from etsy.com is how I spent the tutoring money I made this weekend. Got the last one. Can't wait to rock it.

Back/slash magazine ("the unrestrained college lifestyle magazine") has a good article this month on why it's important to dress well. The cover of the most recent issue boasts a tight comic book-like drawing of LMFAO. I'm going to save the magazine in the hopes that one day I'll be able to get them to sign it.

One of my best friends visited me this weekend.
H&M crop jacket. black Target maxi dress. black gold leather bracelets from Capri, Italy
Friday we went to Monty's down by the marina in Coconut Grove.
Saturday I took her to South Beach. We had lunch at D'vine Hookah Lounge on Lincoln Road and she found a great paisley maxi dress at Alvin's Island on the corner of Lincoln and Collins. Once you get past all the touristy t-shirts, they actually have some really cute dresses towards the back left corner of the store.
Saturday night, we initially tried to go see Amanda Blank at the Electric Pickle down in the Design District, but it was a $10 cover and we got kind of intimated by the hard core looking people walking ahead of us... So we just went to the Crazy Pianos located within Cocowalk. Crazy Pianos is always fun, but I stumped the cover band with my request for Rockin' the Suburbs by Ben Folds. I wish I would have requested Every Little Thing She Does is Magic by the Police instead.
